It's almost Ringling time again- they are back to February dates instead of April like they have done the last 2 years. This doesn't make it easy for us because it will still be dark and it will be colder than the nice spring weather we had last year, but that just means we have to try that much harder and use it to our advantage! DVD players with undercover footage are much easier to see at night so we will have lots of those. If you have a tablet dvd player, and feel comfortable bringing it, we have dvd's you can play on them. But let's not forget about FUR just yet! Our annual Valentine's Day anti-fur protest is coming up! And Universoul Circus snuck in under our radar last year but not this year! So please review all the dates and events below and start thinking about your commitment to the animals and the group and please try to make as many as you can!
Sunday, Jan 29th- Poster Making Potluck Party at Sherrie's House (Evite to go out soon!)
Saturday, Feb 11th, Noon- Have A Heart - Don't Buy Fur V-day protest (Location TBA)
Ringling Circus- we will start our peaceful protest 1 hour before the showtimes listed below and continue 30 min into the show time

Thank you to those that came for the holiday party Sunday!
We will be holding a Christmas Eve protest against the fur industry at Nordstrom in Short Pump Town Center. We will gather at the Short Pump Town Center Mall entrance (Nordstrom is right in plain view) at NOON (PLEASE arrive by 11:45 if you can!) on Saturday, December 24th. We will be on the sidewalk in front of the brick columns at the entrance - intersection of Broad and Lauderdale. **You cannot park in the mall- please park across the street- there is a Kroger parking lot and other strip malls.**
Please let us know as soon as possible if you can make it! It will take just an hour or so of your time to speak out for the abused, the tortured, the forgotten and the exploited animals killed for fur this holiday season. We can't thank you enough for what we have been able to accomplish so far and we know we can do even more in the upcoming year!

Once again Amy Bergmann will brave live radio along with one of our newest members Amy Glover TOMORROW 12:30PM - 1:00PM WRIR 97.3 FM to discuss the fur industry and offer alternatives to holiday shoppers. You can go to www.wrir.org to listen to the 2 Amy's on line - it will be re-aired Wed.11/16 online @ 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM. Thanks to WRIR and the wonderful host of the show Rebecca Faris for allowing us to reach so many people on such an important topic!
Also, you can print off copies advertising our Fur Free Friday protest- post it at school, the grocery store, post to your Facebook page- anywhere to advertise our peaceful protests and get more people involved! Thanks so much to Amy Glover and her husband Ryan for this awesome flyer!

The Friday after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year, so let's come together to let everyone know why they should keep fur out of their holiday shopping! This year we are tackling 2 stores that sell fur - Nordstrom and, as usual, Alan Furs. Please feel free to attend both peaceful protests or whichever one fits your schedule! If you think you can attend, please let us know as soon as you can. There will be vegan snacks/treats at each protest so if you don't get a chance to grab lunch, you will be covered :)
